Dear Church family,
Thank you church family for honoring Tracey and me last Sunday on our 50th anniversary in pastoral ministry. We have experienced so many blessings from the Lord throughout the years; being your pastor has certainly been one of those blessings. Someone reminded me Sunday my sermons have gotten longer since the first sermon I preached which
lasted only ten minutes. Remember, that was fifty years ago! Ha!
God continues to bless our church with new members. On February 23, Donald and Sharon Driskill joined our church by letter. They have been involved in Bible study and worship, and we are thankful they have become members of FBC. This past Sunday we had several decisions in the morning services. Janet Burkhart and Hannah Dunn came by statement. Thank you for welcoming them to church membership. Also, Dylan Staples shared his call to ministry with the church and Brayden Welch rededicated his life to Christ. What a joy it is to see God working in our fellowship.
“FOR GENERATIONS, Uniting, Building, Reaching” is the theme for our capital campaign. This Sunday, I will promote Vision Sunday for March 23. I am tremendously excited about the challenge this campaign provides. Each of us will be able to impact the lives of future generations through our commitments. It will require diligent prayer and obedience to God’s leading.
I believe our church is ready for such a challenge.
Remember, this Sunday begins daylight savings time. Be sure to move your clocks forward one hour Saturday night. I look forward to seeing you Sunday.
